Privacy overview
MaqAI explains what data is sent, which providers receive it, and why—before a photo or Beauty Advisor message is processed.
MaqAI does not upload every photo in your library. A specific item enters a feature when you choose it and continue with the requested action.
Each disclosure names the content, providers, and purpose relevant to that scope. Accepting one does not silently approve the other.
Live AR, taking a photo, choosing from the library, and saving a result use operating-system permissions that you can review separately.
Open Settings → AI Processing to change future photo or chat permission. Some requested features cannot work without their necessary processing.
This page is a plain-language product overview. The official Rocket Digital Limited Privacy Policy controls if there is any difference.
MaqAI receives content when you actively choose to use a feature. That can include a portrait or makeup inspiration image you select or capture, a custom look description, a Beauty Advisor message, and related context needed to produce the result you request.
The app may also process account and service information such as an anonymous service identifier, optional sign-in details, app and device information, feature usage, generation status, saved-content references, and diagnostic details. The exact information depends on whether you remain anonymous, sign in, purchase premium access, save content, or contact support.
Camera and photo-library access are controlled by your device. MaqAI does not upload every image in your library. You select the specific photo or reference used for a requested feature.
Selected photos and references are used to analyze visible appearance cues or generate the makeup, hair, shade, report, or transferred look you ask for. Beauty Advisor messages and relevant conversation context are used to generate a response to your beauty or styling question.
Account and service information can support authentication, anonymous usage limits, premium status, purchase restoration, saved results, app functionality, abuse prevention, troubleshooting, security, and compliance with legal obligations. It is not used by MaqAI to authenticate your identity from facial characteristics.
Color, face, beauty, and apparent-age outputs are creative appearance guidance. They are not medical, biometric, identity, eligibility, or legal assessments.
Before AI photo processing, MaqAI identifies Google for cloud processing, OpenAI for photo analysis, and Replicate and OpenAI for image generation, depending on the feature. Before Beauty Advisor chat processing, it identifies Google for cloud processing and OpenAI for generating the reply.
Apple processes App Store transactions. RevenueCat supports subscription status, entitlements, and purchase restoration. Apple, Google, or email authentication services may support an optional account. These providers process information under their own terms and privacy practices as well as agreements relevant to the service.
The official Privacy Policy contains the controlling description of recipients, purposes, legal bases, and any additional providers.
A portrait or reference is sent for an AI feature only after you choose the content, request the feature, review the photo-processing disclosure, and take the affirmative action to continue. The disclosure states the data sent, the recipients, and the purpose.
Beauty Advisor chat uses a separate consent scope because a message and conversation context are different from a photo-generation request. Accepting one scope does not silently grant the other.
You can withdraw permission for future photo or chat processing in Settings → AI Processing. Withdrawal does not undo processing that was lawfully completed before the change, and some features will not work without the processing they require.
MaqAI can store service records, account-scoped information, and references needed for saved looks, reports, generation history, and other features. Some builder content or app state may remain on the device, while signed-in or cloud-backed features can use remote storage.
Photos and generated pipeline images stored temporarily in Firebase are scheduled for automatic deletion after no more than 12 hours. Analyses, generated looks, and chat presentation can remain locally on your device unless a feature clearly states otherwise.
Account identifiers, subscription status, and usage records can remain while needed to operate the account and service limits, subject to legal, security, fraud-prevention, and financial-record exceptions. Before reinstalling or clearing app data, check whether content you care about is local or associated with your account.
Rocket Digital Limited and its service providers use technical and organizational measures intended to protect service data. No mobile app, transmission, or storage system can be guaranteed completely secure, so you should submit only the content needed for the feature.
Cloud and AI providers may process information in countries other than the one where you live. The official Privacy Policy explains applicable transfer mechanisms and safeguards. Do not send passwords, one-time codes, payment-card details, or unrelated sensitive content through photos, prompts, or support messages.
You can control camera and photo-library access in device settings, manage future AI photo and chat consent in MaqAI, decide whether to create or link an account, and choose which portraits, references, prompts, and messages you submit.
Depending on your location, you may have rights to request access, correction, deletion, restriction, objection, portability, or information about processing. Rights can be subject to verification, legal limits, and records that must be kept for security, transactions, disputes, or compliance.
Use the official contact channel for a privacy request. Identify the relevant account or sign-in method, but never send a password or verification code.
MaqAI is not intended for children who are below the minimum age required to consent to the service or data processing in their location. Parents or guardians who believe a child submitted personal data should contact Rocket Digital Limited through the official channel.
Features, providers, laws, and service practices can change. Rocket Digital Limited may update the official Privacy Policy and will use the effective or updated date shown there. Material changes may also require a new in-app AI-processing consent version.
